Why eportfolio?

I've been interested in Personal Development Planning (PDP) and working with it as an embedded activity in FE and in teacher education for the FE sector for many years. But, we didn't call it PDP. Myself and Emma Purnell would like to talk to you today about how we have used an online learning environment, pebblePAD, to develop action planning, the evidencing of experiences and reflective writing development as both learners, teachers and researchers.

Who am I?

Who is Emma?

Wolverhampton University was the first UK HEI to offer eportfolio to all its staff and students in September 2005. So, why did we like/respond to/engage with the eportfolio agenda? What evidence do we have that using eportfolio tools supports engaged PDP?
